Two chocolate chip cookies on a wooden surface surrounded by scattered chocolate chips and flour.

It all began with a break…

For as long as I can remember, baking has been my one true love. Cakes, pies, and tarts always filled my kitchen with joy—but cookies? Cookies were my kryptonite.

Then came late 2020, when a pair of pink glitter roller skates (and a not-so-graceful tumble) left me with a dislocated elbow and plenty of time to think. While healing, I needed something to keep my restless soul busy—and that something became the quest to bake the perfect bakery-style chocolate chip cookie.

Batch after batch, I fell head over heels for the craft. Cookies went from being my weakness to my sweet spot. What started as a way to heal turned into Colibri Sweets: a home microbakery built on love, resilience, and the simple joy of sharing treats that make people smile.

Today, every cookie, pie, and pastry I bake carries that same spirit—crafted with care, a touch of whimsy, and the belief that sweets should bring a little magic to your day.
